The young lady in this Reddit story has been through" the wringer the past couple of days.

“Today is Friday. On Wednesday, I woke up in the morning to my mom screaming my grandma's name over and over again. The day before, my grandma was having trouble walking and she was throwing up, so my mom went to check on her Wednesday morning and she wasn't waking up. We most likely think she [passed away on] Tuesday night.”

When she called out of work because she was too distraught to work, her boss told her that she had to come in and that losing a grandparent was no exception. She turned to the internet to ask what she should do in this situation, because she can't afford to lose her job.

If I were her, I would quiet quit at work, take some time to properly grieve my grandmother, and work to find a new job as quickly as I possibly could. How would you approach this situation if you were her?
